Anyone serious about working against violence must think about it in its full breadth. A statement of position.
HeMiKa gGmbH has become a pioneer of innovative, forward-looking contributions against violence. We've built an interdisciplinary network society that — across all its functional sections, both nationally and internationally — works against violence in all its forms, and for the protection of victims of any kind of violence.
We work with civil-society institutions, other democratic interest groups and academia. We operate across Germany and worldwide on the effective prevention of violence — through research, through measures to protect vulnerable people, through training and coaching, and through an emergency, counselling and mediation service for those seeking protection.
Our work rests on a clear mission and an active Board of Trustees. It's carried by a Council, a Fellowship programme and Vision Statements that serve as our compass.
